CCTV at Your Hen Party House – The Lowdown

We like to keep things transparent (and drama-free!); some of our gorgeous large group houses have CCTV. Not all of them do and if the one you’ve chosen does, you’ll see it clearly on the Facts A–Z page. It’s also covered in the Terms & Conditions - the very important-but-boring bit you agree to when you book.

There’s no need to worry about CCTV at your hen do house. In most cases, cameras are only positioned at the entrance to the property – on the driveway or parking area. They’re there purely for security, helping guests safe and deterring intruders in the quieter times of the year when the house might be empty for a few days.

So one’s sitting there watching you pop prosecco or practise your dance moves. CCTV isn’t actively monitored, and any footage is automatically deleted forever after 30 days at the very most. Everything is handled fully in line with privacy laws. The only time recordings might be checked is if there’s been a serious issue – like a safety concern or serious damage to the property.

The bottom line is that CCTV is there for peace of mind, not to police your hen weekend in case things get a bit out of hand. It’s best to forget it’s even there and enjoy every minute of your celebration!
