Noise Monitors – Keeping the Vibes Good (and the Neighbours Happy!)
Some of our luxury hen houses have noise monitors installed. This will be clear on the Facts A-Z page of your chosen property, and its also in the Terms & Conditions (the very important but boring bit you agree to when you book).
If there are noise monitors - don’t panic! They’re not eavesdropping on your gossip or karaoke sessions! These clever little devices simply measure sound levels (not conversations), usually only in certain communal areas both inside and outside the property
Why are they there? Mostly to keep things neighbour-friendly or because of past noise hiccups. While we love a good celebration, our homes aren’t full-on party houses, so a little consideration goes a long way.
Here’s the vibe:
- Keep things chilled, especially after 11pm
- Don’t play music so loud that neighbours can hear it
If noise levels stay high for around 15 minutes, the owner or house manager might give you a friendly nudge to turn it down. If you ignore that, things could escalate - think extra charges or, in extreme cases, being asked to leave.
Most hen groups get the balance right; there’s fun, there’s laughter, and unforgettable memories are made – all without upsetting the locals.
So go for it - dress up, pop the bubbly, and celebrate in style… just keep it classy when the clock strikes 11! 💃
