💗 DUCKY BIRD ISLAND - Oxfordshire

"We have just returned from spending the most magical few days on the Island for mine and my husband’s wedding. It’s crazy to think that we first found this beautiful place not long after we got engaged. We had talked about having a small intimate wedding and The Island was perfect for what we wanted. The moment we arrived, it was like we’d stepped into a page from a fantasy book or romantic novel. So secluded, so quiet and full of nature, you forget all about the outside world. Lynda was so helpful and amazing with everything. From helping us take our luggage and ALLLLL the wedding stuff over on the big red boat to being kind enough to even leave small gifts that didn’t go unnoticed and that were much appreciated. Thank you so so much!!! It was perfect from start to finish, even if I did spend the first few days nervous about my wedding - although the hot tub did help me forget all my worries. Another thing that made it all incredible was the shopping delivery service, we were so impressed that we could get our shopping delivered and the Island team would wait for it and put it all away for us so that we could start our stay with ease. It was absolutely fantastic!! The views from every bedroom were beautiful and to wake up to birds singing was so peaceful, we didn’t want to leave. Every single guest misses it already and we are all so eager to come back and stay again!! The Island has everything (and more) that you could possibly need and want. An amazing games room that all the family can enjoy, a lovely spacious living room where everyone can sit and chill together (they even have large bean bag chairs) and a large beautiful dining area for everyone to have a delicious meal either cooked by one of you or by hiring one of the amazing chefs they recommend to you. We hired Abi, who was highly recommended by Adele and her food was incredible, she is so talented and there was not a single word spoken whilst people were digging into her outstanding food!! It’s perfect for large groups getting together for any occasion or event. The Island team are so organised with helping you arrange your stay. We cannot fault it at all. It really is the most perfect place!! Thank you to all the Island team!"
